Google Pixel Watch: Things That You Must Know

Google’s first wristwatch, the Pixel Watch, has been launched in full after a veritable tsunami of leaks.

Although it has been working on the device for a while, it just hinted at it a few months ago. Naturally, it utilizes the Wear OS software developed by the company and long-used by other watch manufacturers. However, Android users in general and Pixel owners in particular can now purchase a smartphone whose hardware and software are both produced by Google.

This is a capable fitness tracker and smartwatch thanks to the extensive connection with Fitbit. You can obtain a thorough study of your sleep and activities by pairing it with the Fitbit app.

What is the price of the Pixel Watch?

  • Wi-Fi only: $349.99 / £339
  • Wi-Fi + 4G LTE: $399.99 / £379

Similar to the Apple Watch, there are two versions with the option to add built-in 4G for a fee. That implies that even when your phone isn’t nearby, you can still make and receive calls and send messages using your Pixel Watch.

In contrast to the Apple Watch, Google is keeping pricing straightforward with a single size (41mm in diameter) and three identical stainless steel case colors.

There are three choices: champagne gold, polished silver, and matte black.

20 different bands are available at launch, including woven, stretch, active, and leather types. Metal bands will be available in the spring of 2023. They begin at $49 or £49.

The Google Store, Fitbit.com, and other merchants sell the Pixel Watch. While we don’t yet know which carriers and cell operators will offer it, it will also be available from them.

The Pixel Watch is first offered in the following countries: the UK, US, Canada, France, Ireland, Japan, Australia, Germany, and Taiwan.

What characteristics and specifications does the Pixel Watch have?

The OLED display on the Pixel Watch can provide up to 1000 nits of brightness. It has an always-on mode so you can quickly monitor the time and other data. A dome-shaped piece of Gorilla Glass 5 serves as its shield.

The Pixel Watch comes pre-installed with Wear OS 3.5. You may download programs like Strava, Spotify, MyFitnessPal, and others through the Google Play Store that is available on it.

Along with six months of Fitbit Premium access for in-depth monitoring of your sleep, fitness, and wellbeing, three months of YouTube Music Premium are also included.

When the Pixel Buds and your phone are paired, Fast Pair means the Watch will instantly pair the two devices. Additionally, handoff enables you to begin a call on your watch and carry it out on your phone. Similar to how you can continue to use Maps or listen to music on your phone after you start your Pixel Watch.

Since it has many of the same functions as the Versa 4 and other Fitbits, the Pixel Watch can be considered a Fitbit as well.

You may choose from 40 different exercise options, track your heart rate throughout the day, and see how many activity zone minutes you’ve accrued.

The battery will charge from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes, according to Google, but it will last up to 24 hours. If the battery is too low to track your sleep, it will alert you to charge it before bed. It takes 80 minutes for a full charge. Only the magnetic USB-C cable is provided in the box; there is no charger.
